What are backlinks?  Why are they important?  How do you get them?  Are all backlinks the same?  

 

Getting backlinks to your website is one of the most powerful strategies you can leverage to boost your SEO.  But why are they so important?  Did you know that Google was one of the first search engines to look at the backlinks to a website?  This is what helped set it apart from the other search engines back in the day.

 

We cover a lot of ground in today’s episode on backlinks.  


But it is important that you make sure you have taken care of the first two pillars of SEO (Site Structure and Content) before you focus too much effort on backlinks.
